The wait has finally ended when Nintendo released their fifth generation game console recently, called "Nintendo Wii" (previously codenamed "Revolution") on November 14, 2006.  A couple weeks later, Nintendo Wii sales soared making it the fastest-selling game console so far.  Sales in the U.S. alone reached 479,000 two weeks after its release.  Along with the launching of the Wii console was the release of Wii version games.
